ISIS, formerly al-Qaeda in Iraq, currently holds significant areas of land in both Syria and Iraq, and presents the most potent military group terrorizing that region and, in sporadic yet horrific incidents, the world itself. Iran, having successfully struck a nuclear deal with Obama that will lift economically-crippling sanctions on the country, is now openly mocking the “arrogant” U.S., the Iranian leaders saying they “will provide weapons to whomever and whenever we consider [it] appropriate.” Therefore, it may come as a surprise to learn the next target of Obama’s presidential tenure… Yes, the dishwasher in your home.
Obama’s war on greenhouse gas emissions continues with the Department of Energy (DoE) now targeting dishwashers as a means of meeting new regulation levels. Currently, dishwashers are permitted to use 5 gallons of water per cycle, reduced from 6.5 gallons as dictated by Obama’s 2012 regulations. However, the DoE is looking to force the manufacturing industry to reduce this even further to 3.1 gallons per cycle. According to the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers, this will result in even more environmental harm than good, as people will simply put their dishes through another cycle, with additional possible health implications for the American public.
