Around $3 billion of taxpayer money has been lost from the Obamacare system as payments have been made either to the wrong people or overpaid to the correct ones. “The internal control deficiencies that we identified limited (the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) CMS’s ability to make accurate payments,” concluded a recent report by the Inspector General (IG) of the Department of Health & Human Services (DHSS).
If this is hard enough to comprehend, it seems that the DHHS have never actually resolved this problem, leading to the system being insecure, and incorrect payments in terms of recipients and amounts. Furthermore, there is no structured validation of the data supplied by new enrollees in the system, and the CMS failed to apply departmental criteria concerning payments across the board.
Recently published polls show that half of U.S. citizens disapprove of Obamacare. If you are concerned this government is continuing to mismanage a policy that half of the country doesn’t even want, please Like and Share this post.
